A strong core can help revolutionise your cycling technique, and so we introduce the blend of cycling and pilates which brings together two of Hazel’s biggest passions!
Dependent of time of year and location this can be a one day event with indoor bikes or an up to 3-day event in a cycle-friendly location.
To complement your training with the correct cycling nutrition, this workshop includes a nutrition and fuel session.
We will go over body recovery and optimising your output, cycling technique and efficiency in the saddle, having the correct bike set up and basic maintenance of your bike. You will take part in lead rides suitable for the level and ability of the group.
The pilates taught on this workshop is all about muscle groups that get tight and cause problems when we cycle and how to counter-balance this. Hot topics for this session are quadriceps, hip flexors and lower back- specifically for the cyclist body, to ensure many happy injury free rides. There will be lots of using rollers and spiky massage balls to release tension and speed up the recovery process.
Over the course you will complete a recovery session, programming and planning, with a strong focus on legs. Whether you’re training for a sportive, or just want tips and advice on how to becoming a better cyclist, this training workshop is an opportunity to improve your riding technique and build your confidence cycling. Through a combination of workshops, cycling skills sessions and guided rides, you’ll become a more assured and self-sufficient cyclist.
